Walk-ins welcome. 3801 Kirby Dr, Upper Kirby. Fitting brides since 1998.

01The dress

Fitted to you, in stages.

A wedding dress is not altered like anything else. It is fitted to you as you will be on the day, in stages, so each change can be checked before the next is made. The bodice and straps carry the fit, the waist and hip shape it, and the hem is set to your shoes and the floor.

Bring the dress in early. A wedding has a date and the dress does not wait, so the sooner it is on the bench the more room there is to get it exactly right.

·The details

Straps, lace, and the bustle.

The parts that make a wedding dress a wedding dress are the parts that take the time. A corset back reset so it laces flat, beading and lace kept intact through an alteration, and a bustle tied so the train lifts cleanly for the reception.

02The whole party

Bridesmaids and the rest of the party.

Bridesmaid dresses, the mothers of the bride and groom, and the groom's suit or tuxedo. The whole party can be fitted at the same bench, so everyone in the photographs fits the way they should.

03What it costs

Bring the dress in. We will tell you.

A wedding dress depends entirely on the dress and what it needs, and we would rather see it than guess over the phone. Bring it in and we will tell you what it needs, what it will cost, and when it will be ready.

06Questions

Questions people ask.

How soon before the wedding should I start alterations?
Bring the dress in a few weeks ahead so there is time to fit it properly, with the final fitting close to the date so it fits you as you are on the day. Earlier is always safer than later.
How many fittings does a wedding dress need?
It depends on the dress and how much it needs, but plan for more than one. A wedding dress is fitted in stages so each change can be checked on you before the next is made.
Can you add a bustle to a wedding dress?
Yes. A bustle lifts the train off the floor for the reception, and there are several styles depending on the dress. We will show you the options and pick the one that suits the train.
Can a wedding dress be taken in or let out?
Taken in, almost always. Let out, within the cloth the dress allows. Straps, bust, waist and hem are all common work. Bring the dress in and we will tell you what it will allow.
